Frequently Asked Questions

  1. What time should we arrive?
    • Guests should arrive at Elmhirst's Conservatory @ 3pm.
  2. Do I really need to RSVP?
    • Yes, Please! If we do not recieve your RSVP on or before November 25th, 2025, it will automatically be marked as "No". We will miss celebrating with you but we need to provide our Vendors with a final guest count within the time they have given us. Thank you for understanding. 
  3. Can I cancel my RSVP?
    • If your plans have changed and you are unable to attend after previously confirming, please tell us as soon as possible. This will allow us to accommodate other guests and make any necessary adjustments.
  4. Can I Bring a Plus One?
    • In order to keep our wedding as intimate as possible, only the guest formally invited on our wedding invitation will be accommodated. We hope you understand.
  5. What is the Dress Code?
    • The wedding will be cocktail attire. 
  6. How long will it take to go from the ceremony space to the reception?
    • The entire wedding from ceremony to dinner to reception is all located at Elmhirst. There will be approximately a 2 minute walk from the ceremony space to the reception area. 
  7. Is there parking area at Elmhirst?
    • Yes, there is a guest parking lot right beside the conservatory (Ceremony space). If you are staying in a cottage, there is parking at your cottage.
  8. Do you have a gift preference?
    • Although we do not expect gifts from anyone, we will be very thankful for any gift that we recieve. However, a monetary gift would be perfered to help us in our journey.
  9. Will there be an open bar?
    • There will be a Hybrid Bar. Drinks will be on us until 9:00pm, after 9:00pm it will be a cash bar.
  10. What time will the reception program end?
    • Last call is 11pm, and everyone must leave by 1am. These times are the vendors rules, and we appriecate your understanding. 
  11. Will there be transportation options from Elmhirst?
    • Unfortunately, because of the location and time of year, transportation is not garanteed. We have been notified that if there is any bad weather, the cabs in the area do not trek out to Elmhirst. We appologise for the inconvience and ask that you plan for a safe ride home if you plan on drinking.

 

Dinner Service

Devon and Allison are very happy and excited for the menu that they have chosen. This dinner will be served Family style which means there will be one platter per table to share. If you have any dietary needs and/or allergies please inform Allison and Devon on your RSVP.

1st Course:

  • Freshly made corn Bread muffins
  • Potato Salad
  • Coleslaw

2nd Course:

  • Smoked Beef Brisket
  • Smoked Beef Sausage
  • BBQ Chicken
  • Mac N Cheese featuring Ontario Cheddar
  • Chef's Seasonal Vegetable Succotash

3rd Course:

  • Fresh Fruit Platter
  • Cookies, Squares and tarts
